To the full articleWhen Canadian-born Ian Wright launched his Twitter account, which was named Brilliant Maps in 2014, he just wanted to share his love of maps and cartography. At the time, he had no idea his account would become a hit. Today, with more than 100,000 followers and millions of visitors each year, he knows a thing or two about the appeal of maps.
He even recently released a fancy atlas, featuring some of his dozens of favorite maps. "Our enthusiasm for maps comes from the fact that they are able to convey a huge amount of information quickly and simply," he said.
