(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 14 - The plasma of people recovered from the Salt-Cov-2, the new coronavirus, is rich in antibodies that could help in treating the infection in patients.
This was stated by the China National Biotec Group, a privatacinese company, which in a statement informs that it has used this treatment on ten patients who have had improvements in 24 hours, and asks the survivors to donate plasma to continue the experimentation. This type of therapy is not new in infections, and had been attempted, for example, even if without success, in the case of the 2014 Ebola epidemic, while some tests at the time of Sars, reports an article published in the Journal of Infectious Diseases, had highlighted a reduction in mortality. The company said the patients showed a reduction in inflammation and in the viral load, with an improvement in the level of oxygen in the blood.
