"As parents we asked ourselves, in this moment of deep pain, on the need for reflection, together with the psychologists made available by the school, thanks for wanting to meet us after the tragic deaths of two of our students, who shook the entire school community ".

This is what was written in a letter sent to the director of the provincial school office of Monza and Brianza by the parents association of the Frisi high school of Monza , after the suicide of two fifth grade students, fifteen days apart. .

CASES: On January 24th, a 19 year old student from Frisi took his own life by throwing himself from the window of his house, on February 9th one of his schoolmates threw himself under the train tracks. The State Police carried out extensive checks on the incident, but no alleged link between the two tragedies emerged. Despite this, the head teacher has suspended the teaching activity and initiated a series of interviews and meetings with psychologists for pupils and parents, also in light of the growing concern among the families of those who attend one of the best known high schools in Monza.

THE FORMER STUDENT SPEAKS ABOUT ONE OF THE VICTIMS: "We met on Saturday and we really talked about school, he was trying to make the school a space where to talk openly, we must ensure that each of us carries on his idea". So Lorenzo Pedretti, spokesman for the National Student Coordination Office, spoke to ANSA about his friend who killed himself on 9 February, 15 days later by another student from the same school. In a moved voice, Pedretti stressed that at this moment "a response that creates conflict is not a good thing, because if it is true that one must ask oneself about what has happened, and also the school must do it, the important thing is that it remains united". Pedretti, a former student of the high school of Monza, explains how Frisi is "attentive to students, with many activities to involve them, an internal psychological support service and repetitions carried out by the parents' association". The death of these two boys, however, for Lorenzo imposes "a profound question, because evidently there was a problem that was not addressed, understood, regardless of the motivations and the school, the students and parents at this time must reason together ".
