2020-02-15T15:51:00.270Z

Heavy rain will fall on Finistère and Morbihan, Météo-France alert.

After Ciara and Inès, this is Dennis. A new storm will sweep across western and northern France, bringing heavy precipitation and strong winds. This Saturday afternoon, Météo-France is already placing two departments on orange alert for rain and risk of flooding. These are Finistère and Morbihan.

The meteorological organization specifies that a strong gale and swell are expected on the Brittany coast. In Finistère and Morbihan, the weather will remain rainy until the first part of the night from Saturday to Sunday, according to Météo-France, before a temporary lull in the second part of the night. The precipitation will increase from Sunday morning.

Accumulations expected from 30 to 60 millimeters in 24 hours are expected, and up to 80 millimeters in 36 hours locally, which corresponds to half a month of precipitation in February. In addition, these rains arrive on already saturated soils.

This new degradation is accompanied by a strengthening of the wind, with gusts of between 80 and 100 km / h inland, and up to 120 km / h on the coast.
