"The heat can't stand it, it's terrible. And it looks like it's going to be worse tomorrow." It was 5 pm on Saturday and the talk between the marcianitos seller - the homemade homemade fruit ice cream tubes - and her occasional buyer summed up the sensation of all those who walked through the Centennial Park, looking for some shadow or something cool. The conversation was repeated between the posts and, interestingly, also the fact that Sunday was "going to be worse." "Worse" was synonymous with "more heat . " And that informal prognosis that was viralized by word of mouth was fulfilled.

Around two o'clock this Sunday, the thermal sensation climbed in the City at 37.1 degrees and the effect of humidity (56%) completed the feeling of overwhelm. The temperature was 32.5 and had already exceeded the 32.4 peak on Saturday.

The City was thus ranked 12th of the hottest places in the country. At that time, the ranking was led by the city of Santiago del Estero - where Central Córdoba and Boca must play at night - with a thermal sensation of ... 43.3 degrees !! Only 4 other cities had 14 records above 40: Resistencia (42.7), Sunchales (42.2), Santa Fe (41.5) and Corrientes (40.8).

The funny thing is that, as the National Meteorological Service (SMN) ranking is based on temperatures and not thermal, most of the cities that led the ranking were Buenos Aires. Between positions two and five were Punta Indio (33.5), José María Ezeiza (33.5), La Plata (33.5) and Villa Gesell (33.4).

The trend aimed to extend into the afternoon. In fact, for example, when updating the ranking at 15, other points in the country were added with strong heat records. Among them, Las Lomitas, in Formosa, with a temperature of 39.2; San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca, with 38; and Ceres, in Santa Fe, with 40.1, but thermal.

As a consolation, this Sunday's talks can add up to the fact that "the water is coming" and that this way, the next few days will have friendlier temperatures for the metropolitan area.

There are isolated storms planned for Sunday night, and rains will continue throughout Monday. The effect on the thermometer will be felt.

For Monday, in the City of Buenos Aires, a minimum of 21 degrees and a maximum of 28 are expected. On Tuesday, 17 and 26. For Wednesday, a maximum of 28 is expected again and then, until Saturday, peaks of between 24 and 25 degrees.
