Several rockets crashed into the night near the US embassy located in Baghdad's high security green zone, US military sources said.
This is the nineteenth attack on American interests in Iraq in nearly four months.
The explosions occurred around 1:30 Italian time and triggered alarm sirens from the US embassy, said a diplomatic source.
At the moment, no particular material damage or casualties have been reported.
