In the video: What did this passenger do for a lifetime?

A passenger on an American Airlines flight documented a man sitting behind her in the airplane punching into her seat - and posted the video online to shame him and the flight crew who gave him a free drink instead of scolding him. While she expected full support from online surfers, she was surprised when they called her melodramatic and took his side. She said the only thing she did was sit back - and agreed to do so only after the passenger had finished eating, but the network claimed that she should have been more considerate of him and not lower the back of the seat at all.

Wendy Williams boarded an American Airlines flight from New Orleans to Charlotte, North Carolina, on Jan. 31, when asked by the passenger sitting behind her to lift the seat while he was eating. Because he was sitting in the last row of the plane, he couldn't lower his seat back, either. She said she did, but when she returned her seat at the end of the meal - he began to hit the back of the seat constantly. She said she asked the flight attendants to intervene, but they not only did not interfere - but also gave the passenger a free drink. So she decided to video-record the passenger and shame him and American Airlines employees online. According to her, the flight attendant chose to reprimand her and took the passenger's side behind her - and when she filmed the incident she "recorded a disturbance" to her.

In a post on Twitter, she wrote: "After trying to be considerate and letting American Airlines do the right thing, I decided to share the moment of attack from the passenger behind me and the additional threats I suffered from the airline flight attendant. She offered him a free cocktail!" In another post, she wrote: "When the flight attendant came over, she rolled her eyes and said 'What?' She said he was urged there and gave him a rum! She said I should delete the video because it is against the law to take photos on the plane. I came back from a teacher's conference. The guy bravely asked me to pick up the seat because he ate. I did it. Then, when he was done, I leaned again. At that point he started beating me. That was when I started filming the video and tried to call the stewardess. It was scary and painful. "

Wendy said she suffered headaches following the incident and had to visit doctors, undergo x-rays and lose working days. She said the airline did not take responsibility for the case: "In American Airlines, they contacted me by phone. They apologized but did not accept any responsibility for the flight attendant. I will call the FBI to indict the" man "who saw me punch a bag." She added: "If I hadn't taken the moment, no one would believe it! The more I tried to defend myself, the more he acted in riot and so did the flight attendant. He should be ashamed! He knew he was being photographed and still behaved that way."

Her posts:

Responses to her video and posts were divisive. While some were by her side, many actually took the passenger's side. While one wrote: "I do not believe that American Airlines did anything for this poor woman and gave this creep a free drink," another wrote: "Would it kill you to lift the seat? Yes, he was terrible - but so were you." "If I paid for the damn seat, I would lower it as much as I needed," he wrote, and then objected: "I am 1.95 meters and cannot tolerate reckless people taking their seat off. I, with all my height, will never lower the seat and disturb the passengers. Others. If it were me, I wouldn't let her sit at all. Thank you for being him. " While one wrote: "He still got a cocktail ?? They had to be thrown away. Point," someone else wrote: "To me this is just a whining."

Others claimed that neither party was at fault and that it was an airline problem. "Without being insulted, but this guy's seat - even though he's an asshole - doesn't come down, so it's unfair that the person in front will be leaning back. He should have politely asked you not to. This is an airline issue that needs to be addressed."

More Comments: "Oh my god ... it's awful. Why didn't anyone help you?"

"I hate doing this to me so I won't do it to others ... Not that I'm defending it - it was unforgivable and should be reported"

"Then raise your chair"

A spokesman for American Airlines said: "We are aware of a dispute regarding American Airlines Flight 4392 operated by Republic Airways on January 31. Our safety and comfort of our customers and staff are our top priority and our team is investigating the issue." By the way, health experts claim that it is not advisable to lower the seat until the end, since such a recumbent condition does not allow proper lower back support.
