Dan Houser, creative vice president of Rockstar Games and top manager of sagas such as Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption, has announced his departure from the company for next March.
Take-Two Interactive , the parent company of the US company, has made this information official through a statement sent to the United States Securities Market Commission (SEC). According to the note issued:
"After an extended rest period in spring 2019, Dan Houser, creative vice president of Rockstar Games, will leave the company," the statement begins in a specific appendix. “Dan Houser's last day at the company will be March 11, 2020. We are extremely grateful for his contribution. Rockstar Games has developed some of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful games worldwide; a global community of passionate fans and a team of incredible talent, which continues to focus on present and future projects, ”he concludes.

Dan Houser , born in London, England, 45 years ago, began his career in the industry at BGM Music , where in 1993 they moved to the interactive division. Five years later, the Houser joined Take-Two Interactive as a result of the purchase of BGM by this multinational.
Then, in 1998 , Dan Houser and his brother were two of the four founding partners of Rockstar Games, responsible since then for some of the greatest successes of the video game industry. Notably, the 150 million units sold combined between Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption, whose online modes remain the main economic engine of the company despite the veteran's first, a six-year-old video game .
