Opinions about "The Walking Dead" are divided. An event at the end of season 10 is said to make the series more attractive, but fans have little hope.

  • In a few weeks, the second half of Season 10 of "The Walking Dead" will air.
  • Several trailers already show what the audience can expect.
  • A special event is pending, but can it really give the series new impetus?

The series "The Walking Dead" has been on the dying branch for a long time - at least if many long-time viewers think so. With the current show runner Angela Kang, who has been on board since season 9, there was hope that everything would turn out well again. And did it end up like this? Opinions are still divided - especially with regard to the promising trailers that give an insight into the second half of season 10.

+++ Caution! This is followed by spoilers for the 10th season of "The Walking Dead" +++

"The Walking Dead": That happened in the latest episodes of season 10

The 10th season of the zombie series "The Walking Dead" is currently running. Another season * has also been confirmed, along with the return of a popular character: Maggie (Lauren Cohan) * is set to rejoin the heroes from the upcoming season after she left the group. In addition to this gratifying development, the current storyline initially looked promising: since the 9th season, the main characters around Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) have new main opponents with the whisperers.

This conflict was also in the foreground at the beginning of season 10, but there was no complete escalation yet. A war between the two fronts awaits viewers in the second half of the 10th season, which will be available on February 24th via Sky Ticket and on FOX Channel . Some trailers already show what the audience can expect:

Despite the brilliant trailer: viewers are dissatisfied with "The Walking Dead"

After the "mid-season finale" *, the main question is how things will go with Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) . He has joined the Whisperers this season, but he may have made this decision for espionage purposes.

In any case, the focus of the trailer is the upcoming war between the main characters and the whisperers. While individual commentators on YouTube are enthusiastic about the brilliant fight scenes , other users are completely disappointed. They found the first episodes of the current season boring and criticize that the events of the series seem to repeat themselves over and over again - after all, there have been multiple fights between enemy groups. A disappointed user writes: "I have heard from actors, critics and many other people that the current season is supposed to be great, but it is total crap. The same thing always happens."

Also interesting : "Walking Dead" shocker - next main character turns his back on the series.

By the way, several viewers are now dissatisfied, which is impressively demonstrated by the ratings: As the magazine Deadline reports, the first episode of the 10th season shortly after its broadcast had the lowest audience share that an episode of "The Walking Dead" ever had. From February it will become clear whether the upcoming war can correct the numbers again.
