There are 1 million 119 thousand applications for income and pension of citizenship accepted by INPS. Among the families that obtained the benefit, 60 thousand lapsed. So the families holding income (933 thousand, for 2.419 million individuals) and pension citizenship (126 thousand with 143 thousand people involved) are overall 1 million and 59 thousand, corresponding to 2 million 562 thousand 'heads'. This is what the INPS Observatory on Citizenship Income updated at the beginning of February. The average monthly amount received is 496 euros.
To date, approximately € 4 billion and € 358 million have been spent on income and citizenship pensions. This is what emerges from the tables of the INPS Observatory updated throughout January, adding up the amounts paid for the subsidy from the start-up month, or from April. In 2019 the disbursement remained below the four billion mark, resulting in 3 billion 849 million euros compared to the 5.6 billion allocated in the budget law for 2019 (5.6 billion), therefore savings were made of nearly 1.8 billion.
