The ceremony for the delivery of the honors of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, conferred "motu proprio" by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, on December 20, 2019, to citizens distinguished by acts of heroism, was held at the Quirinale this morning. commitment to solidarity, aid, international cooperation, protection of minors, promotion of culture and legality, for activities in favor of social cohesion, integration, research and environmental protection. This is what we read in a note from the Quirinale. The ceremony - reads a statement - conducted by Eleonora Daniele, was opened by the screening of a movie made by RAI and ended with the intervention of the Head of State. Among the many examples present in civil society and institutions, President Mattarella has identified some significant cases of civil commitment, dedication to the common good and testimony of republican values.
