"Riverdale": Is Jughead Really Dying?
First of all, the question arises whether Jughead actually dies * - after all, the series would lose one of its biggest fan favorites in this case. In the worst case, the ratings drop, which is why many viewers assume that the makers have been on the wrong track since the beginning of season 4.
The evidence of Jughead's death * is, however, more than clear: In some episodes, scenes from the future have already been shown, which show, among other things, the police investigation after his death. Archie (KJ Apa) , Veronica (Camila Mendes) and especially Betty (Lili Reinhart) are suspected of murder. The latter is said to have killed Jughead with a stone.

A new teaser for the 14th episode of season 4 builds on the past clues to Jughead's fate . It shows how Archie blames student Bret (Sean Depner) for the death of his best friend. The latter defends himself with the suspicion that Betty is the real culprit:
Despite the sound evidence of Jughead's demise , fans of the series are far from convinced. A YouTube user says under the trailer that the death of the fan favorite is only pretended to take revenge on Bret. The latter previously made sure that Jughead had to leave his Stonewall Prep school. Further commentators supplement this theory: Archie, Betty and Veronica are said to have been initiated into Jughead's plan and to know of his survival.
Spectators may not find out if all of this happens until February 27th. On this day, the latest episode of "Riverdale" appears on Netflix .
