The governor of Jujuy, Gerardo Morales , strongly criticized the sayings of the driver Elizabeth Vernaci, who in her radio program had assured that "Jujuy is Bolivia", and demanded a public apology. "It bothers me a lot and it hurts me that you and your team laugh at the Jujeño people," the provincial president said through an open letter that he published on social media.

In the text, Morales detailed the historical milestones that starred in the province and pointed against the renowned announcer: "I think he only lacks a little humility and knowledge.

"Mrs. Vernaci emphatically repudiated her lack of respect and the way in which she disqualified the Jujeño people and the Province of Jujuy denying their membership in the Argentine Republic and therefore the Argentine people," he reproached.

In another section of the letter, Morales valued that "the people of the North were the ones who guaranteed our independence so that today you and I can proudly say that we are Argentines. Indeed Jujeños, Salteños and Tucumanos among other compatriots of the North, and Mendocinos and Cuyanos, we were the architects of the Scream of Freedom of our People ".

"We are offended to deny our condition as Argentines , but it also offends the Bolivian people that is a great town and that if it were not for them too, you would not be Argentina today. So that you know the Bolivian People fought more than their Buenos Aires ancestors to that we are homeland today, "he said.

In La Negra Pop, the cycle that leads with Humberto Tortonese (55), the radio figure said that for her "Jujuy is Bolivia" and that she thought "that there (the Jujeños) realized that they were not Argentines."

Outings, outdoor plans and cultural events to spend the summer in Buenos Aires.

It all happened in the framework of the return to work of a fellow of the cycle that drives in FM 101.5. "Are you going on vacation to Jujuy? Don't you think?" He asked jokingly.

But then the bet went up: "They are suffering people, native and suffering people. Can't you think of a vacation with sea, something that relaxes you? Did you go to Jujuy for 9 days? Did you go to Carnival? One day (only) of Carnival did you have? Why didn't you leave (after Carnival)? They are suffered, the Jujeños are suffered. "

The complete letter

OPEN LETTER TO ELIZABETH "LA NEGRA" VERNACI AND ITS RADIO TEAM Mrs. Vernaci strongly repudiated her lack of respect and the way she disqualifies the Jujeño People and the Province of Jujuy denying their membership in the Argentine Republic and therefore the Argentine people.

It bothers me a lot and it hurts me that you and your team laugh at us.

Must know Mrs. that the People of the North was the one who guaranteed our independence so that today you and I can proudly say that we are Argentines.

Indeed Jujeños, Salteños and Tucumanos among other compatriots of the North, and Mendocinos and Cuyanos, were the architects of the Grito de Libertad of our People.

But especially Jujuy played a role than any other Province, because it was precisely our territory that was taken as a theater of operations by our Army and realistic troops. It is like this Mrs. that for your knowledge while your ancestors in the City of Buenos Aires danced the Minué and disputed the power, for 15 years we were killed by a whole generation of young people who gave their lives so that you today can say that It is Argentina.

During the fifteen years that the war lasted from 1810 to 1825 there were more than 120 Battles, combats and skirmishes in Jujuy. Except for the San Lorenzo Combat, I ask you to remind me how many battles and battles took place on land where your Buenos Aires ancestors had participated.

Jujuy and in particular its Capital, San Salvador de Jujuy, was invaded 11 times by the realistic Army that devastated everything: complete families, people, civilians, cattle, food etc. Maybe you can inform me, because I don't know, how much your Buenos Aires ancestors lost in the deed.

We had three Exodus in which our People had to give everything to leave the invader destroyed. Particularly, if you do not know, it was the Jujeño Exodus of August 23, 1812 that allowed Gen. Manuel Belgrano the triumphs in the Battle of Tucumán and then in Salta. For that reason Manuel Belgrano himself on May 25, 1813 bequeathed the National Flag of Civil Freedom to the Jujeño People in recognition of the effort and their struggle. The original of the same is in the Hall of the Government House Flag.

We are offended that you do not know this and that you deny our condition as Argentines, but it also offends the Bolivian People that it is a great People and that if it were not for them too, you would not be Argentina today. For the Bolivian People to know, he fought more than his Buenos Aires ancestors so that today we are homeland.

It's true we don't have Mar, but we have everything. We have magic, diversity, more than 300 indigenous communities, we have 10,000 years of interculturality in our Quebrada de Humahuaca which was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. We have the Hill of Seven Colors in Purmamarca, the Salinas, the Hornocal and so many other natural beauties. And above all, we are a great people, that I invite you to know, because if you don't know Jujuy you don't know life.

For your information, scientists from Conicet discovered a mummy of 8,770 years old in the town of Barrancas in Las Salinas where there are more than 40 archaeological sites, of the hundreds in my Province that reaffirm our cultural wealth.

But I do not want to enter into comparisons, we have a great country that I am proud of, and I am sure that you are from your land.

I think he just lacks a little humility and knowledge.

I demand that you apologize to the Jujeño People and the Province of Jujuy.

Atte.

GERARDO MORALES Governor of Jujuy
