Time to make up: After not being invited to appear at Independence Day events last year, but only after a media intervention, Zehava Ben will be the keynote speaker at the beacon ceremony.

Zahava Ben is considered one of the pioneers of Mediterranean music in Israel, bringing significant Turkish and Moroccan influences to the Israeli mainstream and radio stations. Her first album "Lucky Drop" sold hundreds of thousands of copies and changed the face of the music.

But despite her professional appreciation for her, Ben doesn't always get the respect and respect she deserves. So, for example, last year she was not invited to any show on Independence Day, and only after the announcement of "Israel Today" was she invited to host several shows with Moshe Peretz.

This year things have improved, and apart from joint appearances with Ethnix in the new tour, the singer has been selected to perform at the official and festive beacon ceremony to mark 72 years for the country. The ceremony will be directed by Elder Grossman, and besides, singer Abraham Tal will also be performing and will be directed by Guy Zo-Land and Esther Rada.

Ben has been conducting a musical career for more than 30 years and is, as mentioned, considered one of the best and most important singers in Israel. Throughout her career Ben has been dealing with ups and downs, but her immense talent is unquestionable, and we will all enjoy him at the upcoming Beacon Lighting Ceremony.
