Amendments could be tabled to ensure the continuity of public service.

The scene takes place on Friday January 31, 2020 in the premises of the Ministry of Culture. On the 60th day of strike at Radio France, Franck Riester received all the union representatives as well as the management of the public audiovisual group. Very firm, he recalled that the savings requested from Radio France would be maintained, that he supported management and that he would not be involved in the negotiations to come. This speech bore fruit since three days later, the CGT, the last union to maintain its strike notice, suspended the movement during negotiations on the collective agreement breach.

But during the conversation, the minister dropped a small bomb. He clearly warned the unions of the risk that certain parliamentarians, exasperated by the duration of the strike, would table amendments aimed at ensuring the continuity of public service. As with the system which exists at SNCF, striking workers could be asked to declare themselves in advance.
