The coronavirus epidemic in China, which led Apple to lower its revenue forecasts for the first three months of this year, not only creates problems for the iPhone, but also for two new products expected shortly: the iPad Pro 2020 version and AirPods Pro Lite earphones. The Asian Digitimes website reports this, citing sources from within the industry. Apple, however, should not postpone the plan to launch the cheap iPhone, which has been rumored for months. According to reports from the German Iphone-ticker site, referring to sources inside the Cupertino company, the presentation of the new iPhone will be held on March 31st.
According to Digitimes, Apple had plans to release AirPods Pro Lite - a more affordable version of the AirPods Pro headsets unveiled last fall - during the second quarter, but the plan will shift forward. Similarly, a delay in the launch - which was expected in March - of the new iPad Pro is likely.
Despite this, in late March Apple is expected to hold a presentation event of its budget smartphone: called iPhone SE2 or iPhone 9, it should cost $ 400. Again according to German sources, sales of the new iPhone could already begin on April 3.
