WHO, 110 virus cases in 24 hours outside China

(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 18 - "In the last 24 hours we have recorded 110 new cases outside China, including 99 on the edge of the Diamond Princess". This was stated by WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in the daily coronavirus briefing. The WHO has also made it known that "by the end of the week 40 countries of the 'Who Africa' group and 29 of the Pan American Health Organization group will be able to detect coronavirus". "There are several African countries," he added, "who are leveraging the experience gained in Ebola tests for coronavirus."
Meanwhile, John Hopkins University has released a report, according to which the number of coronavirus victims has risen to 1,875, while the number of people infected is 73,337 and those recovered 13,124.
