(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 19 - The flight to Japan has departed from Ciampino with the medical staff on board who will go to help him Italians on the Diamond Princess. This was announced by the Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio on facebook, after having personally contacted the departing team with the head of the Civil Protection AngeloBorrelli. "I assure you that we will bring our compatriots to Italy as soon as possible", says Di Maio. "I personally thanked all the women and men who, with generosity and immense professionalism, left with a few hours' notice, putting themselves at the service of our compatriots. Thank you very much to everyone for the commitment", added the minister. In the past few hours, a mission has been launched in two tranches: after sending the sanitary ware to Japan, another flight, in compliance with the time needed to comply with international health standards, will leave in the next few days to bring the compatriots back home.
