Address the climate problem and "stop carbon dioxide emissions with maximum urgency". This is the first of 5 points of a Manifesto with urgent actions for the future of children. To realize it are Unicef and Oms, together with the authoritative scientific journal Lancet.
At the second point, the authors call for "putting children and adolescents at the center of efforts to achieve sustainable development". Therefore "to carry out new policies and investments in all sectors to work for their rights and their health". In the fourth point "the proposal to incorporate children's voices into political decisions". Finally, "tighten up national regulation for malicious commercial marketing." The experts, says Richard Horton, chief editor of the Lancet group, "are calling for the birth of a new era for the health of children and adolescents. It will take courage and commitment to achieve all of this. It is the greatest test for our generation" .
