We set out to deal with the greatest enemies of nature in Israel

What is Dangerous in Birds Like Means and Decay? More than you think. These are invasive species that harm nature. How do you stop them? Watch the fourth installment of the quarterly series of the Israel Nature and Parks Authority's network with Yiftah Hutsav and Barkai Era

Notary, the same rodent that can be found in different streams, does not have a blue ID, since the notary originated in South America. The notary is an example of an animal that is not from here and one of the great dangers to nature in Israel - invading species, that is, animals and plants that did not live naturally in the Land of Israel, but were mostly reached by man.

Invasive species are a danger to nature. Their damages affect agriculture, health and the economy. For example, a significant portion of agricultural crops are eaten by invasive species and often those animals or plants come with parasites that create additional environmental damage. Invasive insects and mammals may also have bacterial carriers that could harm the health of the local population and animals.

Watch the fourth installment of the new and original "Quarter to Nature" network series by the Nature and Parks Authority, in which the pair of creators and actors Yiftah Hutsav and Barkai Era, through content company "Peach", join the fascinating range of nature conservation and heritage activities that the authority leads.

In the fourth chapter of the series, Yiftach and the Era are exposed to the great dangers and threats posed by the invading species, and decide to address the problem in their somewhat unconventional way. Mark Katz, the Nature and Parks Authority superintendent of the High Negev, showed them that there are other, more effective ways.
