Amid the repercussions of the massive handkerchief in claiming legal abortion, the Minister of Health, Ginés González García, admitted Thursday that there could be changes in the project that Alberto Fernández will send to remove “some reactive factors”. Punctually, he spoke of the possibility of establishing the institutional conscientious objection.

“More than balanced, some reactive factors are eliminated . The project does not have to be a crack deepener. It must be achieved with equal access and avoid victims. Preserving all that, some details have to be accepted, ”he explained.

During an interview with radio The Network , the official spoke of the possibility that some institutions, for religious reasons, may resort to conscientious objection, but “as long as it is guaranteed that it is fulfilled ” because “many times you want to use the conscientious objection not to comply with the law ”.

“The deepening of the objective is always the same: that it be decriminalized, that it be legal and that it be the same for all Argentine women ,” said González García, who anyway said he does not know when the Executive will send the project.

In that context, the minister highlighted the massive marches that took place on Wednesday in various parts of the country in claim of the legal abortion law.

"It was impressive. I believe that feminism and all this, sociologically, is one of the most important things that have happened to Argentina in recent years, because it is much more than the legalization of abortion: it is about the role of women in society ", stressed.
