(ANSA) - TOKYO, FEBRUARY 22 - About 1,000 passengers disembarked by the Diamond Princess during the three days until Friday, while about 300 guests and a thousand other crew members remained on board. The quarantine period imposed by the health authorities ended last Wednesday and the people who remained on the ship, anchored in the port of Yokohama, although tested negative for the coronavirus, shared the cabin with an infected individual, so they will be retained for another 14 days. The total number of people diagnosed with the virus settled at 634, and two elderly passengers died last Thursday. Persons disembarked will be monitored for a period of 14 days, during which it is recommended to stay at home and to go out only for ordinary reasons.
