Gite yes or gite no? In Italy that comes to terms with Coronavirus, even traditional spring school trips end up in the sights of institutions, concerned about minimizing all possible outbreaks of contagion. In fact, if the PNA, the national association of principals, asks the Ministry of Health to provide "precise indications in relation to the conduct of educational trips" in the Regions, there are those who played in advance by prohibiting them: this is the case of the President of Campania Vincenzo De Luca who, in agreement with the Regional Scholastic Office, invited the heads of the schools to suspend the organization of school trips for precautionary reasons.

An orientation that - pending the pronouncement of the Ministry - could soon be imitated by other regions. More generally, the frequentation of places of education (schools and universities), as they are at high risk of contagion, are of concern. Here then another governor, Luca Zaia del Veneto has announced that the universities of the Veneto will be closed due to the Coronavirus emergency. Zaia's decision came after consulting with the rectors of the various universities in the region: "We have decided to keep them closed for the next week," he explained. Referring instead to the guidelines that will be issued by the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, any measures for events such as the Venice Carnival . "Because - he explained - the initiatives must be uniform across the country".
Another region, other practice. All the didactic activities of the Lombard universities will be suspended from February 24th to 29th due to the spread of Coronavirus. This was announced in a press release by Remo Morzenti Pellegrini, Rector of the University of Bergamo and President of the Conference of Rectors of the Lombard Universities. "We believe that, in the absence of different indications from the Authorities, all activities - reads the note - will be able to resume on Monday 2nd March".

They will not wait for Speranza's guidelines in Crema (Milan), where the traditional Carnival parade scheduled for tomorrow was revoked by the Municipality, and all kindergartens and nursery schools will be closed until Tuesday. Canceled all public and private events outdoors and in enclosed spaces, and also closed the municipal swimming pool and all sports facilities hosting events, training and amateur and amateur competitions. The "prudential" decision was made given the proximity to the areas where coronavirus infections are widespread. Just in Cremasco, in Madignano, the 38-year-old football team from Codogno who contracted the virus played last Saturday.

Schools closed in Cremona. And the same provision in Piacenza and its province where schools, public and private sports facilities, will remain closed until Tuesday 25 February.
