A magnitude 5.7 earthquake that struck northwest Iran on the Turkish border today resulted in the death of seven people, including three children, in the Turkish province of Van, according to the US Geophysical Institute (Usgs ) the epicenter of the earthquake was located near the Iranian village of Habash-e Olya, less than 10 km from the border.
