With 152 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including three deaths, announced by Commissioner Borrelli, Italy becomes the third country in the world by number of infections , according to data from Johns Hopkins University.
China with almost 77 thousand cases remains the most affected country, followed by South Korea with 602. Italy undermines Japan, where there are currently 135 cases. Over 630 cases of contagion have been registered on the cruise ship Diamond Princess , which however is not mentioned among countries but as "other".
The number of 152 positives also takes into account the researcher who returned from Wuhan and then recovered and discharged from Spallanzani. According to the data provided by Borrelli, there are 110 cases in Lombardy (to which the two victims are added) and 21 in Veneto (plus the victim in Vo 'Euganeo); 9 cases are instead in Emilia Romagna , 6 in Piedmont and 2 in Lazio (the Chinese couple hospitalized in Spallanzani).
Of the 152 positive, Borrelli concluded, 55 are hospitalized with symptoms and 25 in intensive care, 19 are in home care and 27 in verification.
