(ANSA) - LOME ', FEBRUARY 24 - Togolese President FaureGnassingbé was reelected for a fourth term with 72.36% of the votes, overwhelmingly ahead of the opposition candidate Agbéyomé Kodjo, who denounces fraud and claims for himself.
According to the results announced yesterday evening by the independent national electoral commission (Ceni), the head of the outgoing state wins in the first round obtaining an absolute majority.
Kodjo only gets 18.37%, while the third candidate Jean-Pierre Fabre collects 4.35% of the votes. The turnout was 76.63%, an increase compared to 2015 (60.99%).
