Sydney - Disgust finds in ready meals are unfortunately not uncommon. But what an Australian customer found in her McDonalds burger not only spoiled her appetite, but was also extremely dangerous. The worst part: the burger almost ate her three-year-old niece .

Customer finds dangerous item in McDonalds burger

The incident, the woman named Ada Teaupa, made public on Facebook . As she says, she was in the car with her three-year-old niece and decided to stop at McDonalds and buy the two of them a burger. Both ordered a chicken burger , among other things.

But Ada Teaupa was in for a nasty surprise: when she ate one of the burgers, she bit a metal bar several centimeters long. "I almost broke a tooth," complains the customer and publishes a photo and video of her find. She is particularly concerned about the possibility that her three-year-old niece might as well have gotten the burger. But she would have said spontaneously that she didn't want him yet. "Thank goodness I haven't given her her burger yet," she continues.

Look what I found in the chicken & cheese !! Nearly broke my tooth !!!! My 3 year old niece ordered a chicken & cheese as well and thank god I didn't give it to her yet! Fmd !!

Metal bar found in burger - McDonalds responds

Ada Teaupa then told the Australian television station 7NEWS.com.au that she had brought the burger back. There the manager, visibly confused, would have given her the money back and offered a new burger . But she could no longer have an appetite for it.

The broadcaster then confronted the fast food chain with the incident. A McDonalds spokesman apologized for the incident and announced that the branch would be investigated. "We take food safety very seriously and have strict processes and systems in place," said the spokesman. Customers should report if possible if their food does not meet the standards. For Ada Teaupa, it was probably the last time she visited the fast food chain.

Also interesting about McDonald's:

The fast food giant offers burger pleasure without calories - the product is sold out in no time!

Another customer ate a burger at McDonald's and felt bad for days afterwards. However, it was not food poisoning that was to blame, but a mistake.

The motto for fries in the fast food menu is: more is more. A McDonald's employee is now revealing why the french fries bag looks fuller than it is.
