Could you eat noodles in all variations and every day? Then you will like this time saving tip. All you need is a pot of water.

Well, cooking pasta doesn't last as long as, say, a roast pork. But sometimes you want to save yourself the eight to twelve minutes. For this, some "saver cookers" on the Internet recommend a great trick that also saves energy.

Water bath shortens the cooking time

If you know you want to eat pasta the next day, you can simply put the serving in a pot of salted water overnight . The next day, you only need to heat the noodles for sixty seconds and you're done. But be careful: the noodles are almost white the next day and the consistency is slightly different than with traditionally cooked pasta.

Cook the pasta with residual heat

If you don't like this variant, but still want to save energy when cooking pasta , you need to know this trick:

  • Boil water in the kettle.
  • Then put the water in a saucepan, pour in the pasta and salt and stir.
  • Now put a lid on the pot and let the whole thing boil again.
  • After boiling, switch off the hob and let the pasta cook. Depending on the variety, the noodles should be firm to the bite after 10 to 12 minutes.
  • The advantages of this method: the pasta water does not boil over, the pasta is always "al dente" and you also save electricity. Try it!
