Although Charlotte initially selected him, Bryant expressed through his agent his desire not to play with the Hornets, and 15 days later that wish was fulfilled, when Lakers general manager Jerry West handed over the player Vlade Divac by young Kobe.

Although the name of the original owner of the yearbook was not disclosed, several notes refer to him as "Cheese", and one lucky person could be the new owner of this book, which he plans to auction at around US $ 20,000.

As of Tuesday morning, the highest bid was just over US $ 4,000 and the auction will close next Saturday, an Iconic Auctions spokesman told the TMZ site.

"The yearbook itself is in very good condition in general, with the expected wear and tear of the drive being passed and signed by dozens of other students," reads the description within the auction site.

"From the rarity of the incredibly early autograph, to the prophetic magnitude of the incredible inscription, this piece is at the top of the vertex of any piece of Kobe Bryant memories that is known to exist," the letter adds.

Bryant arrived at Bala Cynwyd School (Pennsylvania) in mid-1992 after living in Italy, where his father played professionally.

Because of that, there is no image of Kobe's class, but it can be seen in the photo of the basketball team with the No. 24 shirt, the same number he adopted in the middle of his NBA career.

It was precisely at the Lakers house, the Staples Center, where more than 20,000 people gathered on February 24 to pay a posthumous tribute to the former player and his daughter Gianna .

Various NBA stars and characters from the entertainment world attended the event, to show the love and admiration they had for Kobe.

The ceremony began with singer Beyoncé performing her songs "XO" and "Halo" accompanied by a dozen musicians.

But one of the most emotional moments occurred when Vanessa Bryant stood in the center of the court to dedicate a few words to her late husband and daughter.

Speaking about Kobe, Vanessa highlighted the "incredible love story" she had with her "soul mate" since she was 17, through which she became her "best friend, confident and protective." He stressed how romantic and thoughtful he was. "We loved each other with our whole being. Two perfectly imperfect people who formed a beautiful family and raised our sweet and wonderful girls," he added.
