Not even Bleiche wanted to give the toilet back its old shine - until she heard about a secret tip in a podcast.

The desperate woman immediately went to work and scrubbed the limescale deposits in the toilet with a pumice stone that she bought in the pharmacy - with success. "It does not scratch anything and does no damage," she assures in her post on Facebook, which has since been liked over 5,000 times and commented on 1,700 times, as reported by the online portal Daily Star. "Put on rubber gloves and just scrub on it. It's environmentally friendly." The woman presents her own success with a photo:

In fact, the porous stone does no damage in the toilet, as the portal does laundry. This is because it is softer than ceramic, but harder than the lime scale . So that there are still no scratches, you should moisten the pumice stone with water before use and then rub over the affected areas. Pumice stone is particularly suitable for stubborn deposits - if the usual home remedies have not worked, you can use them. After roughening the lime, add a vinegar cleaner and the deposits should quickly be history.
