An 11-year-old boy died after a truck overturned on Tuesday on Route 2. In addition, three people were injured.
The incident occurred at 20.30, at kilometer 153 of the highway , near the town of Lezama.
The child was moving along with three other minors and three adults in a utility vehicle, in the direction of the City of Buenos Aires. The vehicle collapsed and overturned in the central quarry of the route.
"Outside the vehicle were three adults and three minors. Inside the truck was an 11-year-old boy , who unfortunately was the deceased," said Carlos Firmapaz, first corporal of the Lezama Fire Department, in dialogue with TN.
Before the firemen arrived, the first CPR maneuvers were carried out by a private doctor, a member of the Benavidez Fire Department and an effective Scientific Police who were circulating on the highway, during the holiday season.
"There was a lot of traffic on hand to Capital. Presumably, the truck is clueless alone," Firmapaz added.
One of the injured, a minor, is "with a more reserved prognosis", according to the story.
