(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 26 - The first coronavirus case confirmed in Brazil, where a man returning to São Paulo from a business trip to Italy on February 21 last tested positive for the double test. The Brazilian newspaper Folhade S. Paulo has made it known, anticipating that the second test done to man was also positive.
Meanwhile, suspected cases of coronavirus in the country rise to five: a new possible infection has been discovered by the health authorities of the State of Pernambuco (northeast). It is a 51-year-old woman who arrived yesterday afternoon at Recife airport, the capital of the state, coming from Italy.
The Secretary of Health of Pernambuco, André Longo, said that the woman had left for Europe last February 13 and that in addition to having visited Italy (in the Milan area) she was also in Spain.
