After Ile-de-France on Wednesday, a new snowy episode will affect the northeast of the country this Thursday. Meteo France this Wednesday placed nine departments in orange snow-ice vigilance.
The departments concerned: Aisne (02), Ardennes (08), Marne (51), Meurthe-et-Moselle (54), Meuse (55), Moselle (57), Nord (59), Pas-de-Calais (62 ) and Sum (80).
While a series of showers is currently falling over the region, snow is expected to fall this Thursday in a "brief" but "significant" manner. First on the Hauts-de-France then on the north of the Grand Est region. During this episode, the snowfall should reach 3 to 6 cm on the departments placed in orange alert, locally up to 10 cm on the relief of the Ardennes and the extreme north of Lorraine.

Météo France calls for extra vigilance because this snow could catch on the ground and make the road slippery.
Tomorrow, when passing a depression which will circulate from the English Channel to Luxembourg, snowfalls to the plains (before the rain) are expected from Hauts-De-France to Grand-Est. The wind will also blow strongly north of the Loire, and again very strong from the Alps to #Corse. pic.twitter.com/N0IX5ZGXMj
