Legnini takes on Commissioner functions

(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 27 - Giovanni Legnini, the new extraordinary Commissioner for the Reconstruction of Central Italy after the 2016 earthquake, took on the fullness of his duties today, after the transmission of the nomination decree, signed by the Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte , on February 14, with the registration of the Court of Auditors. Also today, in Rome, Legnini met with the directors of the Special Offices for the Reconstruction of Abruzzo, Lazio, Marche and Umbria, the territorial divisions of the commission structure that manage the multiple and complex reconstruction procedures. It was a "very positive" meeting, which lasted over three hours, during which a first examination of the situation was completed, of the numerous critical issues that slow down the reconstruction, and of the most urgent problems to be faced. During the meeting, the point was also made on the latest ordinances approved by the previous commissioner management and still subject to scrutiny by the Court of Auditors.
