Those who have worked in recent months on the judicial front of the civil case opened in Milan speak of an affair "in the process of being resolved", which will end with the agreement between ArcelorMittal and the commissioners of the former Ilva. "An agreement on everything", including the last loose nodes, as it has been defined, which provides for the modification of the lease and acquisition contract to renew the iron and steel center based in Taranto and the cancellation of the procedure started before the Milanese Court. So much so that in the morning from legal sources it was known that the signatures on the documents - that is, on the one hand, on the agreement to amend the contract, the so-called 'addendum', on the other on the document with which the civil dispute is closed - would be have already been posted tomorrow, the deadline set on 7 February, the date of the last hearing, by the two parties as a limit for the negotiation, which has been going on since the end of December. Sources from the Ministry of Economic Development, however, have made it known that no signature is expected this week. The formalization of the agreement, therefore, unless further postponements and sudden second thoughts of the last minute, should arrive at this point next week and in any case by March 6, the date of the next hearing.
The mayor of Taranto signed an ordinance by which he orders ArcelorMittal and Ilva in As to identify the plants affected by the emission phenomena that continue to be recorded "eliminating any critical elements and related anomalies within 30 days". If "the sections of the plant subject to anomalies have been identified" and "the critical issues have not been resolved", order "to start and complete the suspension / stop procedures of the activities".
