Specifically, the shapes are "frozen" and "unicorn" . The shapes show scenes from the Disney film "Frozen", as well as a picture of the mythical creature.

The affected baking tins have the identification (EAN) 4250448320451 and 4250448328662 and the batch number 3128 . The batch identification can be read on the back of the packaging. The company did not disclose which stores the molds were sold at.

Recall of decoback muffin tins: increased value of 3-MCPD discovered

The reason for the danger is an increased value of 3-chloro-1,2-propanediol, also known as 3-MCPD . According to the Federal Institute for Risk Preservation, 3-MCPD are process-related contaminants in foods that have a health-damaging potential and are therefore undesirable in foods. According to the institute, there is an increased risk that a tolerable value will be exceeded, especially for frequent consumers and infants.

The company expressly points out that increased values ​​were only found in molds that were not previously exposed to baking . It is unclear whether the food could be contaminated by the baking process. However, the company cannot rule this out and therefore recalls the goods.
