The first meeting of the Salary Table in the Ministry of Education of the City ended without agreement between the Buenos Aires Government and the teachers unions.
The Union of Education Workers (UTE) considered the proposal of the administration of Horacio Rodríguez Larreta "insufficient" and agreed to move to an intermediate room until 16 .
As it transpired, the Buenos Aires Government offered an increase of 2,400 pesos , of which a part will be contributed by the national Government.
The UTE requires increases above inflation and the update of Family Allowances that, they say, have been frozen for seven years.
The UTE also claims that the Ramos Mejía Garden not be closed, that the 24,000 vacancies that are missing in the City be guaranteed and that "urgently" the bars that prevent free entry to the Mugica Educational Pole be removed.
