ROME - Artificial intelligence makes Gmail more secure and helps it locate suspicious Office documents. The same Mountain View company that implemented this system starting from the end of 2019 increases the daily detection rate of these documents by 10%. In particular, the method is effective in identifying 'adversarial attacks', that is, those attacks aimed at artificial intelligence systems, the detection of which has registered an increase of 150%. Google says it is developing the software so that it can also be applied to identify other less common types of infected Gmail attachments in the future.
