(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, FEBRUARY 28 - British Airways has decided to cancel new flights to northern Italy and to extend this measure, initially scheduled until March 11, at least until March 28. The BBC reports it. In addition to the connections with Milan, the British flag carrier has announced, 56 connections to various destinations such as Bologna, Venice and Turin will be interrupted. Even the low cost airline Easyjet has decided to cancel several flights to and from northern Italy. The company has made it known that there has been a "significant" drop in demand towards its destinations in northern Italy and other European locations. The drop in bookings due to the coronavirus emergency is also the reason why the Belgian airline Brussels Airlines has reduced the frequency of its flights by some 30% for some of its destinations in Italy for the next two weeks. The decision concerns ivoli on Linate, Malpensa, Rome, Venice and Bologna, between 2 and 14 March.
