They had a paid job but also benefited from the income of citizenship: with this charge 16 people were reported by the finance guard at the end of a series of checks in Manfredonia, in the Foggiano area.
The financiers found that some of the 16 people were hired on a regular basis, receiving monthly wages of up to € 1800, while others received the economic bonus while working illegally. All were reported to the public prosecutor's office of Foggia for having used false declarations or documents at the time of submitting the application for obtaining the livelihood allowance, or for failing to notify INPS of changes in income or assets because the procedure for revoking the subsidies and any subsequent recovery of the sums of money illegally received were activated.
Thanks to this operation, the financiers prevented the INPS of Manfredonia from continuing to provide income for an additional 102 thousand euros, which would have been added to the approximately 55 thousand euros already paid by the state coffers.
