In addition to the compulsory contributions, the following activities and contributions should also be taken into account :

  • Posts for mini jobs

This is about the contributions that the employee paid with the employer. On the other hand, those that have only been paid by the employer are credited proportionately.

  • Times for raising children

Here, upbringing times up to the child's 10th year are taken into account (regardless of the year of birth). However, the pension insurance reports that you have to apply for the child-raising periods yourself, otherwise they will not count towards the pension.

  • Times for military and civilian service
  • Private care times (not for work)
  • Transitional allowance for medical rehabilitation
  • Sickness benefit, injury benefit
  • Bad weather compensation
  • Ersatzzeiten

This applies to people who were in political detention in the GDR.

  • Bankruptcy and short-time benefits

However, this only applies provided that at least 18 years of mandatory contributions have been paid. Usually insured persons, such as self-employed craftsmen, benefit voluntarily.

  • Compulsory contributions or credit periods due to the receipt of social benefits
  • Compulsory contributions or brief interruptions through unemployment benefit (receipt of unemployment benefit I)

Important: If you receive unemployment benefits in the last two years before retirement, these times are not counted in the discount-free "pension from 63" *!
