(ANSA) - REYKJAVIK, FEBRUARY 28 - The Icelandic authorities have reported a first case of coronavirus infection in the country.
He is a man who has returned from Italy and who has stayed "outside one of the risk areas". The man, an Icelandic man in his eighties, "is not seriously ill but has symptoms typical of Covid-19 disease," the civil protection department said in a statement. He is currently being treated at the Landspitali University Hospital Center, in the capital Reykiavik.
