LE FIGARO. - Solidarity savings are struggling to develop. Why?
Pierre-René LEMAS. - Because it is not offered. It represents just over 1% of household savings. Bankers don't believe it. If the Pacte law is applied, in 2021, people who want to take out a life insurance contract will have the possibility of having, in its composition, a solidarity savings product. They can say no, but the banks will have to offer it. They will therefore have to communicate on the subject, which gives us hope. But it doesn't come spontaneously. The general public still misunderstands solidarity savings.
