A plate of steaming Napoli spaghetti is enough to make your heart beat faster? Then you'd better not do what this man does.

A plate of steaming Napoli spaghetti is enough to make your heart beat faster? Then you'd better not do what this man does.

It is somewhat reminiscent of the stories about the first Germans who went on vacation to Italy in the 1950s, but it is a very recent case of pasta blasphemy.

Bizarre: man eats spaghetti with fork and ... scissors

In a video that is currently going around on Twitter, you can see a bearded man in typical hunter dungarees eating a plate of spaghetti with sauce. So far so good, because the dish actually looks very tasty - quite the opposite of a pasta picture that was recently shared on Facebook and caused horror *.

Rather, in this video, it's the way the man eats his pasta that causes a stir. He picks up a fork of pasta and quickly cuts off anything that hangs too far down with scissors . The rest ends up in the man's mouth in no time. Admittedly, the method looks much more effective at first glance than the classic turning with the fork. But do you really want to eat spaghetti with Bolognese * or something similar? Look for yourself:

"If they were meant to be shorter, they would be made shorter"

The reactions? Mixed. Some users post pictures and videos of how to do it correctly, others want to call the police. Still others see the advantage of this unusual method. A helpful Twitterer suggests that you simply break the spaghetti into bite-sized pieces before cooking , which another object: "If they were thought to be shorter, they would be made shorter."

Also interesting: you should never eat pasta on flat plates

However, a user can immediately draw a conclusion as to where the man got his idea from. It is not particularly new. The famous silent film actor Buster Keaton already ate his spaghetti in 1918 in this unusual way, as a scene from the film "The Cook" shows:

Whether the man shown is serious about his action remains a mystery. However, his short, smirking look at the camera suggests that he knows exactly that his meal could cause a lot of excitement.
