(ANSA) - SARZANA, FEBRUARY 29 - The coronavirus does not stop the elections even for the youngest ones: in Sarzana (La Spezia) activated online teaching also for children aged 3 to 5 years on the occasion of the closure of schools to avoid contagion.
It takes place at the Lalli school complex: a 'school' experience that is involving about 70 children. One of the first cases in Italy for this age group, underlines the mayor Cristina Ponzanelli. The teachers propose through video games and lessons. Fairy tales, nursery rhymes and tales are told with letters and numbers. Access to the virtual kindergarten is through the Municipality website. A service that joins the lessons online also to elementary and middle school students forced to stay home in these emergency days. "We also looked at these days as an opportunity to develop a new study method," explained the mayor. The intention is to continue to use this method even during school closing periods for weather alerts. "
