The Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said in a speech in Istanbul in which he also said that Turkey will keep the borders with Europe open to allow refugees to cross. The Turkish leader therefore criticized Europe for not helping Ankara deal with the flow of arrivals. "We will not close the doors," said Erdogan, saying that since yesterday, 18 thousand migrants have been massing on the border towards Europe, a figure that cannot be confirmed, and added that the number today could reach 30 thousand.
