Berlin - Bad news for all fans of Peter Maffay : The singer has to cancel his current tour "Live 2020" after three concerts. The reason: two band members are injured or sick.

As it says on Maffay's website, bass player Ken Taylor injured himself on Friday in Hamburg: "Ken had fallen off the stage shortly before the sound check and suffered a fractured thigh." The mysterious news of an accident before the concert in Hamburg had fans of Maffay still worried, later it became clear what had happened.

Keyboarder Pascal Kravetz has to be treated again in the hospital. “Pascal initially stepped in for Ken in Hamburg and Berlin despite his own unstable health. Since Pascal had to seek medical help again today and the doctors advised him not to continue the tour, we have no choice but to postpone the shows ahead of us, ”the website continues.

Maffay, who revealed in an interview that he would never leave the house without a knife, promised that all concerts in the summer would be rescheduled and that the tickets would "of course" remain valid. The new dates should be announced in the course of the coming week.

Maffay is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary on the stage. He started the sold-out tour on Wednesday last week. It should have led through a total of 22 cities in Germany by the end of March.
