The nation’s latest epidemiological bulletin, released last Friday, confirmed Dengue viral circulation in 14 provinces. The report says that 748 cases were confirmed, of which 274 had no travel history. However, this Tuesday an update of the survey will be known and it is discounted that there are more than a thousand. In the central region, the virus circulates in Córdoba, Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Province of Buenos Aires, Santa Fe and Entre Ríos. In the northeast, Chaco, Corrientes, Formosa and Misiones. While in the northwest, the provinces of Tucumán, Mendoza, San Luis, Santiago del Estero, Salta, Jujuy and La Rioja confirmed circulation.

In total, in the province of Buenos Aires 152 cases have been confirmed so far this year, of which 77% correspond to people who had traveled to Bolivia, Colombia, Misiones, Formosa and Salta before starting with the symptoms. The latest newsletter issued by the provincial Ministry of Health reported that the outbreak expanded to 12 of the 135 Buenos Aires municipalities: La Matanza, Tres de Febrero, Quilmes, General San Martin, Lomas de Zamora, Vicente López, Lanús, Malvinas Argentinas, Avellaneda , La Plata, San Miguel and Merlo.

For now there are three fatalities. On February 17, a 73-year-old man from Avellaneda died. Then, a 69-year-old woman died at Penna Hospital. It was from Temperley. He had arrived from Paraguay on February 21, with fever and abdominal pain. The last death occurred in Missions. There, a young 24-year-old missionary with a positive diagnosis of dengue, who was pregnant for 12 weeks, died in the Maternal and Neonatal Hospital of Posadas because of a "severe liver failure," which also caused a "multi-organ failure."

In Capital the situation is also aggravated . Last Saturday, the authorities reported that they raised 165 cases: 110 presented a travel history, mostly to Paraguay, while the remaining 55 correspond to people who did not move to an endemic area.

According to the report, the cases notified in 2020 triple the average of the previous three years: between 2017 and 2019, during the summer periods, 23 cases of average dengue were recorded per week, but at present, that figure rises to 76.

In Santa Fe, the Ministry of Health of the province reported that 36 indigenous cases were detected. In Entre Rios, 38 cases were reported. In the Chaco, there are over a hundred. In Corrientes, meanwhile, the Ministry of Health reported that during the summer months 101 positive cases of dengue were reported in the province, 83 of them in the capital. Formosa reported, in the last report, 93 confirmed cases. Salta also confirmed 77 cases since October 1. In Jujuy, 12 affected people were reported. As for La Rioja, the latest report of the monitoring committee for diseases transmitted by the aedes aegypti dependent mosquito confirmed 43 cases of dengue in the province.

According to a paper from the Ministry of Public Health of Missions, so far this year, patients with serotypes DEN 1, 2 and 4 were detected, but there is only viral circulation of the first of the strains mentioned. The most complicated area is that of Oberá, where there was a notable increase in the number of febrile cases.

Although the Nation bulletin reports 96 patients in Misiones, the local Ministry of Public Health has already confirmed 162 cases per laboratory (134 DEN 1, 24 DEN 2, and 4 DEN 4) and there are 2,858 suspects

In Tucumán, the authorities confirmed 14 cases. The majority of patients were detected in neighborhoods near Guillermina Park. Neighbors ask for more maintenance on the green lung. Mendoza, meanwhile, reported six imported cases. San Luis detected two cases. 21 dengue patients were also found in Santiago del Estero.

The Ministry of Health of Santa Fe said that there are another 20 are under evaluation as probable. So far, about 300 patients have been analyzed and most of the positive results refer to contagion in other countries or provinces in Argentina.

According to the data of the Directorate of Epidemiology, Rosario is the city with the highest number of patients . To the 15 people detected there are three of Santa Fe and many others in Rafaela and Reconquista. The rest is distributed among other smaller locations mainly in the center and south of the boot.

In total there are 14 indigenous cases found throughout the province. Within that list two different serotypes were detected with no recent history of trips outside the district. For each situation, blocking and control measures were taken in their areas of residence with the collaboration of the respective municipalities.

In a regional context complicated by the emergence of both Paraguay and Brazil, the Ministry of Health of Santa Fe said that all the people attended so far had a favorable evolution. However, the State continues to search for patients with febrile symptoms both in sectors with confirmed patients and in neighborhoods operated in previous years.

Although many of the patients live in Rosario, the provincial authorities follow the work of hospitals and effectors in the city of Santa Fe with great attention. The capital had a record last year with 356 cases until June. The last outbreak that had put the health system on alert had been in 2016 and the figure was less than half of the number corresponding to 2019.
