(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 3 - Eight Italian university departments are among the top ten in the world, two more than last year. The new world university rankings2020 developed by QS Quacquarelli Symonds who studied 13,138 university programs in 1368 universities located in 83 locations around the world, show a strong Italian university system. Among the excellences of the country are the La Sapienza University - Department of History and Ancient History - which ranked second in the world; and the Politecnico di Milano, which is in VI place in the world for Art and Design and VII at global level for Architecture. At European level, Italy ranks fourth as the best university system in Europe, surpassed only by France, the Netherlands and Germany as well as Switzerland (European but not part of the EU). In short, our graduates like them very much for the preparation they have for the employers who hire them, but the numbers relating to the other three parameters see Italy losing positions.
