Earlier on Wednesday, the Ministry of Health issued guidelines aimed at reducing the outbreak of the corona virus in Israel, and to the dismay that the ministry already acknowledges that complete prevention of the spread of the disease in Israel is not a feasible option.

It is estimated that following the guidelines, which include banning leaving the country for medical staffs and expanding the countries whose citizens are forced to stay in solitary confinement.

Guidelines for returning from abroad

• For gatherings of over 100 people, anyone returning from abroad for the past 14 days is prohibited.

• International conferences are prohibited in Israel.

• Aged 60 and over, and those with chronic background illnesses such as heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, respiratory disease, or immunosuppression are urged to avoid crowds and contact with people returning from abroad and people suspected of being blue.

Who must insulate a house

Returns from mainland China or South Korea must be home insulated - the isolation obligation also applies to those who were on a continuation flight (connection) at these destinations and did not leave the airport.

• Returners from Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Thailand or Japan must have home insulation - the isolation duty does not apply to travelers connecting flights and does not depart from the airport.

• Returns from Italy must be insulated . Anyone returning from Italy as of February 13, 2020 should enter home insulation immediately until the expiry of a period of 14 days from the date of their departure from Italy. The duty of isolation also applies to Connection Passengers .

• Returners from France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain or Austria must be insulated . Those who have returned from these destinations should enter home isolation immediately until the expiry of a period of 14 days from the date of departure from the same countries - the isolation obligation does not apply to passengers of connection .

Anyone returning from an international convention must be in solitary confinement for 14 days.

What to do during home insulation

• It is forbidden for anyone determined to be in solitary confinement to leave the house - neither for short stays, nor to stay in public places such as educational establishments, work, public transport, recreation and shopping, nor hospitals and clinics.

• If symptoms such as high fever of over 38 degrees, cough, difficulty in breathing or other respiratory symptoms occur, call the Magen David Adom 101 hotline .

• Even if symptoms do occur, do not go to a health clinic or to an emergency room . If needed, a paramedic will come to the hospital, conduct laboratory tests and direct the insulator to continue treatment if needed.
